How to Register for Warranty Coverage

Rheem Limited Warranty Information

According to the terms of the limited warranty, Rheem will furnish a replacement for any part of the product which fails in normal use and service within the applicable period stated (either 5 or 10 years, based on the product you purchase). Registration is required to redeem coverage.

To register your product or verify your warranty, visit the Rheem Product Warranty Information page on Rheem.com.

Rheem Limited Warranty Coverage is determined as follows:
(a) If the original installation date can be verified by the AC contractor/installer’s invoice, then the Effective Date of warranty coverage is the original installation date as shown on the AC contractor/installer’s invoice. For residential new construction installations, the final occupancy permit or proof of purchase from the builder can be substituted for the AC contractor/installer’s invoice.
(b) If the original installation date cannot be verified by the AC contractor/installer’s invoice or proof of purchase in residential new construction applications, then the Effective Date of warranty coverage is the product’s manufacture date (as verified by the product’s serial number) plus ninety (90) days.

How to Submit a Warranty Claim

Once you notice your Rheem HVAC system may need repair, immediately report any failure covered by the limited warranty to the contractor who installed your product or the distributor.

In normal circumstances, the contractor from whom you purchased the equipment will take necessary action to obtain Rheem replacement parts and repair the system. If the AC contractor is unavailable, contact any local contractor who installs Rheem heating and conditioning products.

“Air Care is amazing. I am fortunate to have found them. (The team) installed our new Rheem. We had a part fail days after the warranty expired; they pled our case. They were so nice; they fixed it for free and fast, saving us quite a bit of cash and sanity. New part updates and they pass on savings. The technician did an emergency call, and there is no exception to the quality, friendliness and professionalism I have come to expect. They take time to explain, go over options, and save us money. I actually look forward to spring and fall service calls (maintenance). The crew is like family. I have nothing to fret or worry about with air and heat. Other companies could learn a lot from the Air Care family. Air Care has real people that really care.” – Linda L. from Pinellas Park
